Slim Double Glazed Window Units in London at Ashlar Court

A large Grade 2 listed building in Hammersmith called Ashlar Court. Built in the 1930’s, the building has a fair bit of history in that it was built as a nurses home for a neighbouring hospital.

An art deco building that retains original features which was designed by an influential architect firm, Burnet, Tait & Lorne who led the way in 20th Century British Modern building style. It then became a hostel but fell into disrepair and sat empty for quite a few years.

It has been restored by Linden Homes into 1,2 & 3 bedroom apartments with starting prices for a 2 bed at around £750,000. Linden Homes are part of the Galliford Try group of companies.

In my opinion, the interest to readers, particularly architects, is that the planning/listing authority allowed the use of our Slenderpane slim doubled glazed units on a Grade 2 listed building, using your 6mm black warm edge superspacers of course.

Our sister company Herald Joinery (all in the same building) made all the windows and doors, with over 250 sash windows, 200 casement windows and approx. 70 door sets.
